Who we are
Welcome to Pacifico Waves!
My name is Tara & I’m the owner of this studio. I grew up at the bottom of the Pacific Coast Highway, & was raised at the beach. If I wasn’t in the water boarding, kayaking, or snorkeling with the leopard sharks, then I was out hiking the mountains, riding bikes, blading, skateboarding, making art, & more.
Throughout the past decade, I moved to the Pacific Northwest & traveled all over the PCH, sometimes stopping to stay in various towns for extended periods. I picked up a range of other hobbies along the way: snowboarding, trail running in my favorite terrain, snowshoeing, camping, wakeboarding, fishing, hunting, offroading, riding motorcycles, paddleboarding, & more.
I always came back to art throughout the years and picked up many different mediums I enjoyed: paint, using power tools, clay, sewing, photography, crocheting, macrame, jewelry making, amongst others...
I made Pacifico Waves as a way to share my art. My inspiration comes from the many hobbies that bring me into nature, my travels up and down the west-coast, and the lifestyle both the PCH & PNW provides. Some pieces are made by materials I’ve personally found in nature.
San Diego native, currently handcrafting quality pieces in beautiful Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.
